Sitemap Page Counter

Paste your sitemap, upload an XML file, or give us the URL — get a total page count and per-section breakdown. Sitemap-index files are followed automatically.

What this tool answers

"How many pages does my site have?"

Your sitemap is the canonical list of URLs you want indexed. This counts them — every <loc> in a <urlset>, or every page across all child sitemaps in a sitemap-index.

"Is my sitemap an index?"

If your root sitemap is a <sitemapindex>, we'll list each child sitemap and how many URLs are in it. Useful for spotting which section of your site is biggest.

"Do I have duplicate URLs?"

We count both total <loc> entries and unique ones. If they don't match, you have duplicates — usually an indexing-config bug worth fixing.

"Is my sitemap too big?"

Google's per-sitemap limit is 50,000 URLs and 50 MB uncompressed. If you're over either, split it — see our Sitemap Splitter.
